Built around riders

Thunder Road Motorcycles (TRM) is an independent motorcycle shop near downtown Hollister, California, specializing in Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Riding takes preparation and a healthy machine. It is about going places, meeting people and showing off your ride. Our mission is to help fellow riders with their motorcycle needs effectively and efficiently.

Benito Mendoza

A California native and rider for more than 40 years, Benito brings extensive knowledge and experience to Thunder Road. An experienced mechanic and devoted family man, he treats guests like family.

Benito began running TRM in 2005. He and the team have helped riders from Hollister and far beyond stay on the road.

Outside the shop, his passion is vintage Harley-Davidsons. He is a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America’s Yerba Buena chapter.

Rey Mendoza

B.S. Mechanical Engineering · San Francisco State University

Benito’s son Rey began riding dirt bikes at age nine. He brings technological and mechanical knowledge to the shop and began working at TRM in 2008, learning from his father how to build and fix motorcycles.

His first trip to Sturgis, South Dakota, was in 2012, beginning a riding tradition that became an annual adventure.
