Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Wow, this year's trip to Sturgis South Dakota was amazing! Let's look at the numbers: 9 people in the group, 5 motorycles, 4 days to get there, 14 days total, 7 states including California, 4500 miles total, and a lot really nice people we met on the road, can't forget the countless motorcycles!  We met people riding not only Harleys, but motorcycles from the whole spectrum of bikes. We stopped at many Harley dealerships which is nice because they always have cold water and AC :). Also we always get a souvenir poker chip from every location.

The event was great and for it was the first time on such a trip for most of the people in our group. Over the course of the whole trip we rode to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Yellowstone National Park, across the Continental Divide, Columbia River, and Redwood national forest. The ride went great and we didn't experience any heavy rains which is always good. There was some smog through montana and idaho from forest fires, but it wasn't too bad. We didn't experience mechanical issues with the bikes. While the days were mostly long days on the bike, we enjoyed every moment and every state.
